Works just like it should

"My caliper broke on older XT’s and this was an easy fix/ upgrade that does just what it should. Super quick shipping and good price. Beats buying all new brakes."

Leaked from the inside piston

"Leaked from the inside piston and the outside piston did not move. This happened right out of the box. I sent the caliper back for a full refund."

Q&A

HI There, I just received the caliper I ordered a couple of days ago to replace the leaking one on my front wheel. While attempting to install it, I noticed it’s not an exact match. The main issue is the hose connection—it appears to be reversed compared to my original caliper. On my current setup, the hose connects from the **outside** (facing away from the wheel). However, on the new caliper, the hose connects on the **inner side**, between the wheel and the caliper, making it sit very close to the spokes. I’m wondering—is this an intentional design change to protect the hose, or is this just a different model not intended for my setup? Thanks in advance for your help
I ran into the same issue. That brake caliber is for banjo style fitting which is more typical for MTB setups. The Shimano RS785 Hydraulic Disc Brake Caliper would likely be oriented the proper way for your setup.
