Planet Cyclery Returns Policy

At Planet Cyclery, we’re dedicated to providing high-quality bikes, components, apparel, and accessories to elevate your cycling experience. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’ve made our returns process simple and hassle-free!


Returns Window

  • 90-Day Return Period: You can return almost any item within 90 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding any shipping charges.
  • Items must be unused, unaltered, and not fitted or worn, and include all packaging, tags, and labels as originally received.

Eligibility for Returns

Returnable Items: All items must be new and unused in their original condition:

  • Bikes, Frames & Shocks: Must be unassembled and unridden. Frames, Forks & Shocks should not have been installed or altered.
  • Components, Wheels & Tires: Must be uninstalled, unmounted, and unused. Tires must not show signs of wear or use.
  • Apparel & Accessories: Must be unworn, unwashed, and with original tags intact.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Gift cards.
  • Custom-built bikes, personalized items, special-order components or other customized products.
  • Opened Nutrition, Supplements, or Hygiene Products (e.g., chamois cream or undergarments).

Please Note:

Do not place shipping labels directly on the product packaging. Place the product in its original packaging inside a shipping container (such as a box or shipping bag), and adhere the shipping label to the outside.

Returns received damaged, modified or with shipping labels applied directly to the product packaging will incur a minimum 20% restocking fee.

We cannot accept returns for items that have been installed, used, altered, or marked. If you're unsure about fitting or installation, please contact our customer service team for advice before attempting to fit the item—we’re here to help!

Any items not conforming to the return instructions may be refused. If accepted, Planet Cyclery may, at its sole discretion, levy restocking fees.


Return Shipping Costs

  • Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items: If your order was received damaged or incorrectly supplied by Planet Cyclery please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
    Return shipping costs will be refunded for standard Ground Shipping services.
    For large and oversize items such as Bikes please contact us to help arrange collection.
  • Change of Mind: If you're returning an item due to a change of mind, unsuitable sizing or because you no longer require it, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • International Returns: For international orders, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, including any associated duties, taxes, or fees. We understand this can be a costly process so please contact us first before attempting any international return, we will do our best to provide a solution.

Please Note:

On all returns it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure items returned are done so satisfactorily to Planet Cyclery, so we recommend using a Trackable Ground Shipping or Postal Service.

Exchanges

  • Due to our fast-moving inventory, items can sell out before your return is processed for exchange. For this reason, we discourage exchanges. Instead, place a new order and return the unwanted item for a quick refund.
  • We process refunds promptly so you can re-order the correct item without waiting for an exchange.

How to Initiate a Return & receive a Refund

1- Start the Return:
Use our return centre contact form with your order number and the email address used for the order You’ll receive a Return Authorization Number (RMA) to mark on the outside of your package.

2 - Package the Item:
Please ensure that items are packed securely to prevent damage during return shipping. Do not place shipping labels directly on the product packaging. Place the product in its original packaging inside a shipping container (such as a box or shipping bag), and adhere the shipping label to the outside.

3 -Ship the Item:
Send the package via your preferred Tracked Ground Shipping method to the address provided by our customer service team.

4 - Refund Process:
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you via email, process your refund, and credit your original payment method within 2-3 days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card company to process the funds.
