Keep a spare rotor on hand
"Stopping is underrated! Always have a spare rotor (and pads) in your parts bin. All brake rotors have a wear limit, 1.5mm thickness for Shimano. These caliper to 1.75mm, similar to all new Shimano rotors with nominal 1.8mm thickness. Comes in plastic-free packaging, and with lock ring and washer."

"I increased my rotors from 180 fr/160 rear to 203 fr/180 rear. With some new pads and fresh fluid the difference is incredible. After about 5 rides, I am really liking the new setup. Stopping power is almost too much. But now steeper descents i can stop quicker and ride faster."
