Never Going Back

"A much more suitable replacement for my Kent Trouvaille's mechanical brakes. This is my first pair of hydraulics and I will NEVER settle for anything less. I never knew I could stop like this. These are definitely needed out on the trails if you have a budget bike with low end mechanical calipers. The levers are a bit long for my taste, but I can easily overlook that. Brakes came perfectly bled and felt great immediately. Keep in mind if you have a 180 caliper you'll need to get the appropriate adapter to size up to it."

Great price on the brakes

"Great price on the brakes and they shipped fast. The MT200's work great on my trusty old Giant Anthem 3. They're not expensive but look good and the brake feel is good and easily modulated."

Great allrounders

"I purchased these because I’ve been running them on my cargo bike for over a year. I use them with 180mm rotors. They have excellent stopping power and modulation. Bleeding them is easy. Great fit and finish to the parts and super consistency. I thought about speccing higher level parts for my rigid mountain bike but went with these again because there’s just no downside to them."

Simple, Highly Functional, Hydraulic System

"I'm a fussy guy and find that this brake system has met all of my needs, especially when combined with Shimano's Ice Tech rotors. I use it on my flat bar gravel/road bike and find it fully adequate for quiet, smooth braking on steep declines that I have bombed down at 40 mph. It's everything I need and am, thus, very satisfied."

Q&A

Would these fit a 2014 Trek xcaliber 5? Thanks. John
Hello John, I do not know if the mt-200 caliper will fit the same as the m395 caliper on your bike. You could call or email Trek and try to find out. I found the m395 caliper at this bike shop, https://www.tdkpets.us/collections/new-arrivals/products/byijjzca10195486, TDK pets is the name. I would use the same caliper as on your bicycle, the m395. This is lot easier than trying to match a different caliper. Sometimes what looks like it will work is just guessing. The price is not much more for the m395 caliper.
