"The SC Vala has been a solid purchase. I was hesitant to move to an eMTB after riding Santa Cruz frames for many years. I’m primarily a trail and singletrack rider, and I live in an area where getting to the good riding requires a lot of uphill grinding. That always forced me to be selective about when I could ride, usually early mornings or late evenings on weekends, and only when I felt up for the climb. Buying an eMTB completely changed that. I can now ride almost anytime, in almost any condition, regardless of how I feel that day. I’m riding two to five times per week and have put more than 1,150 miles on the bike over the last year. More importantly, I’ve more than quadrupled my downhill and trail time. That extra time in the saddle has significantly improved my skills. I’ve been mountain biking for a long time, my first full-suspension bike was a Santa Cruz Tasman, and I’ve never had this much downhill time, even when I was at my physical peak in college. I’m 58 now, doing some of my best riding, and enjoying every second of it. I purchased the bike from CBO, and the experience has been excellent. Their payment options, flexibility, and support have all been strong. I’m now looking at buying a Bullit as well, mainly for longer, more grueling, chunky downhill rides like Tunnels in the Santa Barbara area. Overall, the Vala has changed how often I ride, how much fun I have, and how much I’m improving."
