With the new generation of Pirelli's high-end racing tires, the Italians are setting new standards. In the development of the tire, the great experience from over 100 years in the motorsport sector and the accumulated know-how from the cycling sector were used. By using a new carcass, the driving characteristics could be improved in all areas. In particular, the rolling resistance has been reduced by 24% compared to its predecessor. The puncture protection that has also been improved makes the P Zero Race TLR an all-purpose weapon, from fast training trips to racing at World Tour level. Also new is the relocation of production to Italy.
SmartEVO rubber compound
The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which contributes a specific property to the tire's handling characteristics. In this way, a balance of properties that are actually opposites can be achieved.
The new SmartEVO compound has perfect grip in both dry and wet conditions paired with extremely low rolling resistance.
Speedcore carcass
The Speedcore carcass consists of a thin, airtight layer and a rubber compound made of aramid particles that covers the inner part of the tyre. The extremely flexible rubber compound makes the tire more supple and rolls off faster. The aramid particles it contains increase the all-round puncture protection compared to the previous version. The carcass is completed by a nylon fabric with 120 TPI and an Aramidbreaker puncture protection.

"I've been riding the P Zero's for about 4 years now and the last 2 years tubless. I find a good balance of performance and puncture protection and mileage with the P Zero's. It's takes a lot to kill em or at least for me it does. Avarage about 6000k a year on 700c x 30mm and have no complaints."
