Pearl Izumi Summit Amfib Pant - Black

Advisory* Important Sizing notice, these Amfib Pants run Large, we advise to you to order a size down or 2 sizes to allow for layering.

Layering: Pearl Izumi states the generous fit is designed for wearing thermal base layers or padded liners underneath, but the sizing variation will feel excessive for casual wear

Based on our valued user feedback, the Pearl Izumi Summit AmFIB Pants and AmFIB Lite Pants frequently run too large, with many riders advising to size down by 1 or 2 sizes from their normal pants size.

While some Pearl Izumi gear runs small, these specific winter mountain biking pants are reported as being baggy in the hips and crotch.

  • Waist Adjustment: The pants feature external hook-and-loop velcro waist adjustment systems that provide around 4 inches of tightening, which may help compensate for the loose fit.

"Size is way too large than the standard one"

Nice pants but really large

"Nice pants but really large for a size 36 more like actual size 40. I'll wear them in the winter when I'm wearing a lot of base layers"

"Way too big, returning. Huge disappointment because the fabric is nice!"

"Sizing- way too big. The sizing guide is suspect. I used guide and it's way off."

Great pants, CambriaBIke rocks, Sizing WAY off.

"Not Cambria's fault, but the sizing is WAY off on these. I bought 38's, most 38 pants are perfectly snug on me. These fit more like a 44 or 46, no exaggeration. I really wanted these cold weather pants to work. Return went just fine, thanks!"

Bryce H. (1/5)

I returned then because the

"I returned then because the XL size measured 54” at the waist. . that was 9” larger than I am although the the sizing instructions indicated that XL was my size. Otherwise the construction seemed good and my PI Amfib shorts were otherwise a good fit."

Steven M. (1/5)

I bought the normal size

"I bought the normal size I wear 36 waist and these fit more like a 40 waist size. Plus they are super long. Unless you’re over 6 ft and need a size 40 I would pass on these. Total waste of money having to spend $16 to return them"

"They seem to be a very good quality but run so large that I could put my wife in the pants with me. I wear a 36 and these fit like 42 - 44."

James C. (1/5)

The pants seem great, but

"The pants seem great, but I ordered a size 36/L which is what the sizing chart says and they are more like a 40. Unfortunately I had to return them. Planet Cyclery was great and easy to do business with for a quick receiving of the item and also for the return."
