Description

Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire - EXO TR

Refined and redesigned; ready to shred any line.

The Minion DHR II is a complete redesign. Acceleration, cornering and braking have all been improved. The shoulder knobs were borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF and then beefed up to handle duty as a rear tire. The centre tread has been heavily ramped and siped to roll fast and track straight under braking. Pair the DHR II with the Minion DHF for the ultimate aggressive riding combo!

    Fast rolling

"I can feel the difference from the old tires i was using before. Fast rolling and grippy."

    Isabelo j. (5/5)

    This tire was exactly what

"This tire was exactly what I needed, fits like a glove! Thank you!!"

    Milton L. (5/5)

    Maxxis Minion DHR II

"Great traction and braking. Rear end no longer slides out."

    Michael L. (5/5)

    Minion DHR II

"By far the best cornering grip and braking traction of any tire I've used. The dual compound is my choice when used a rear tire as it doesn't wear as fast as the other compound choices. The performance of this tire is worth every penny"

    John S. (5/5)

    Bitter Sweet

"The sweet: My new YT Jeffsy came with Minion DHR II's front and back. The DHR II, even on the rear wheel, provided significantly better tread wear compared to the similarly priced XC tire that I had become accustomed to previously. Pros: Gobs of grip, long tread wear, not too expensive Bitter: The front tire started seeping sealant from the a single spot on the sidewall shortly after I converted to tubeless. I submitted a warranty claim to MAXXIS and they sent me a replacement tire. I am waiting to either install the replacement tire on the front or convert the rear to tubeless to see if this is a commonly occurring issue. However, in the warranty process I realized that MAXXIS relies on a date code which is stamped on the inside of the casing. Therefore, it is possible for a uninstalled tire to go out of warranty while sitting of your shelf at home. Cons: Might seep sealant thru the sidewall, don't purchase too far in advance"

    Hamid S. (4/5)

    Awesome tire

"Awesome tire, my go-to tire for the front with either a Dissector or Forekaster (new version) on the rear."

    Chad B. (5/5)

    Hard to Beat

"I have been running these tires since 2016 and have no reason to change. I ride moderate to aggressive terrain on rock to loose over hard pack and love the the way they perform and last. Recently I have switched to dual compound on the rear for a noticeable difference in wear and cost with no noticeable performance loss. Works well on the front also"

    Joe M. (5/5)

    Great tires

"Great rear tire to pair with the Assegai up front."

    Jerry Y. (5/5)

    Grippy

"Excellent traction but still have just as many puncture issues as cheaper tires"

    Tristan J. (4/5)

    Maxxis Minion

"I got this tire to get better braking in loose rocks. In the loose rocky stuff. It also hooks up well climbing and rolling resistance is not an issue in loose rocks."

    Timothy M. (5/5)
