Description

Maxxis Minion DHF 29" Folding MTB Tire - WT Wide Trail - EXO

Ready to tackle the toughest, loosest, and muddiest terrain? The Minion DHF model is the ideal choice for downhill riders. If you're planning on racing on a challenging trail with mixed conditions or trying to set a PB at your local bike park, this is the tire for you.

Race Ready Mountain Bike Tire

Featuring a lightweight, single-ply TPI construction for durability and puncture protection, this MTB tire has been optimized for 35mm wide rims through an innovative Wide Trail casing design.

Technologies:

  • EXO Protection: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high
  • Tubeless Ready (TR): Tubeless Ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube
  • 3C Maxx Terra Compound: An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than 3C MaxxGrip
  • 3C MaxxGrip Compound: This compound uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications

Great Tire

"Great all mountain tire. Casing is heavy duty and tread pattern is great for multiple conditions. Installed as tubeless, no issues seating or sealing. Would recommend this tire for almost all applications. It doesn't get too muddy where we live so unknown how it would perform in those conditions. It's kind of expensive compared to other similar tires but you can see and feel the quality when you're riding."

Great tire, great price

"Ugh, like, seriously, the Maxxis Minion DHF 29" Folding MTB Tire is like, amazing? The traction is, like, beyond words, and the durability? Total game-changer. It's, like, the only choice for a trail diva like me. Get it, and, like, upgrade your ride, okay? Totally worth it."

After experimenting with different tires,

"After experimenting with different tires, this is the last front tire ill ever use, paired with the aggressor on the rear, for me, this is the absolute best combo for central/southern california"

Randy O. (5/5)

Best tire out there

"I have consistently loved this tire on my mountain bike. Very durable and grippy and have had almost no tire issues in the last 2 years."

Maxxis Minion DHF

"I love this tire. I’ve been using Maxxis Minion DHF for more than 10 years. You can’t go wrong with it. It’s one of the best tires on the market in my opinion."

New tires o my!

"I got me some new tires. It Is super easy to order on line and pick up the next day 2 miles from my house. Tim is super friendly and very helpful. I still miss just going in and grabing them off the wall. Love the tires."

What happened to Mid-Fat tires??

"Recently purchased a new bike and it came with 2.4's. The bike I'm replacing it with has a 2.8 in the front and 2.6 rear. Definitely not a fan of the narrower tires the new bike has so went up to 2.6 in the front. It does make a difference and just don't understand this trend back to the 90's with narrow tires. I ride mostly technical, rocky, rooty New England trails and the 2.4's just don't track like wider tires. At least I found this and it's working well."
