It works best to flip the lever firmly just once to ring, as repeated flips actually mute the sound. The springs for the lever and the bell seem flimsy, so it remains to be seen how long it will last."

"Great bell with a nice less intrusive sound. I purchased this for the streamlined look it gave my handlebars and it meets that need real well. I also had most other traditional vertical bells get bumped and break. This shouldn't be a problem with this bell."
