Over a year of meticulous hub development, carbon laminate refinement, and manufacturing breakthroughs led to the creation of the SES 4.5 PRO.
PURPOSE-BUILT FOR THE HIGHEST LEVEL
PRO in the name means it is a product developed in direct collaboration with the world’s top racers and represents the pinnacle of innovation—engineered and built for race-winning performance. The SES 4.5 PRO is the first product in our road line to receive the designation.
World Tour road racing requires an exceptional balance of aerodynamics, weight optimization, and compliance with governing bodies. The SES 4.5 PRO’s focus on the needs of professional racers requires compliance with the governing body’s equipment regulations. Depending on the course requirements, riders often choose 28 mm tires when road surface conditions are smooth and saving weight takes priority. With the 4.5 currently in the line where riders are most often pairing it with 30 mm tires, ENVE took advantage of the opportunity to create a purpose-built aero, climbing wheelset that isn’t intended to be the jack-of-all wheel, but rather a refined tool for climbing at World Tour speeds.

Oversized steel ratchets are positioned inboard and over the bearings, reducing stress on the axle and bearings while ensuring positive and reliable engagement. Consistent Spoke Lengths: The all-new straight-pull hubshell allows for the use of a single spoke length for any given rim diameter, creating an easy user experience for service and maintenance.
Anti-twist Spoke Hole: To further improve the quality of the wheel build, spoke tension consistency, and to prevent spoke damage during wheel build, an anti-twist feature has been included to prevent the spoke from twisting during wheel build or while riding.
Silent Spoke Crossings: The straight-pull hubshell puts space between each spoke ensuring that your ENVE wheelset cannot experience spoke creak.
