Lightweight carbon cranks! A bit

"Lightweight carbon cranks! A bit of tinkering required to install, since 30mm spindle required a new BB in my case, which requires a new splined tool. And spacers to attain proper chain line."

"Make sure the bolts for the little ring are torqued up. A couple backed out and and I lost them and the 8mmx3mm spacers"

Carbon crankset at this price is amazing

"Easton and race face are owned by same company so they leverage parts so I expect the quality to on par with race face. Also, getting oem version mean less large logos printed on parts which I like. For the price you can not go wrong with this quality crankset."

Q&A

What is the spindle length? I am using with a pf86 bottom bracket with a BB shell width of 91.5mm. The specs on your page say it will but I tried another EC90 crankset and it was a couple mm too short.
I just measured and the functional spindle length is 96mm… that is the end of the bearing contact section to the other end of the bearing contact section… not measuring the scalloped section where the drive side attaches.
What’s a good bottom bracket for this crankset? I thought my stock one would work but the diameter of the Easton spindle is much larger than stock crank. I have a 2023 Cannondale topstone carbon 3
The Easton EC90 crankset will require a 30mm spindle BB. Depending on your frame you might need a BSA30, pressfit 30 BB or some other 30mm variant. Easton/Race Face make their versions but I have had great success with Wheels MFG offerings. They usually last for 3x as long and bearings are easily replaced in the shell making the initial investment worth the cost.
So for clarification, if a guy had a cinch direct mount 36t single chainring, he could remove the stock 2x cluster and install the 36t (1x), correct?
Yes, but remember these are road/gravel cranks. Not MTB cranks. So spacing at the chain stays is an important factor to take into consideration. For a gravel bike, add any cinch chainring or set and you are good to go!
What is the difference between the EC90 crankset - OE, and the EC90 SL crankset?
These are essentially the same crankset except one was bought in bulk to be spec'd on bike builds while the other is offered as an aftermarket purchase . The decals are the main difference.
Does this product come with the crankset and chainrings?
Yes, both chainrings and the crank arms. Add a bottom bracket and go ride!
