DT Swiss Competition Double Butted 14/15/14g Spokes
The classic lightweight spoke for all round use. The 14/15/14 gauge double butted spoke is 1.8mm thick in the center to save weight, but 2mm thick at the end where strength is needed whilst the butting process adds strength through cold forging of the metal. Made from X5 stainless steel, containing chrome for rust resistance & nickel for strength.
The rolling of the nipple thread removes no metal from the spoke & preserves the grain of the material. This process maximizes strength.

"I use these spokes to build up a reserve carbon wheel with hydra hubs, and brass nipples. Cambria has the best value I could find on spokes online. DT Swiss spokes are strong, fairly light and very easy to build with. They are also easy to source if I break one in the future."

Can't go wrong with the
"Can't go wrong with the DT competition for wheels that are sturdy and last. Length, threading and J-bends are super consistent and they hold up well in any kind of environment. Cheaper black spokes are very susceptible to rusting or staining, not the DTs. I have been riding these on my commuter for thousands of miles in a coastal climate with plenty of salty air. Still as good as the day I first laced them up."
