The Alba 2 shoe employs Sidi's Millennium 4 Carbon Composite sole, injected carbon fiber in a matrix of Nylon, providing more rigidity than a standard nylon sole. The sole is also more durable, completely non water-absorbent and mechanically stable, meaning it's less susceptible to changes in stiffness resulting from aging, prolonged usage, and changes in temperature or humidity. The new Politex upper is constructed of several overlapping layers with different physical-mechanical properties. Politex offers strong resistance to ripping, laceration, stretching and fading. The Tecno 3 Buckle System allows easy on-bike fit adjustment, while the Soft Instep 3 Closure System and padded tongue eliminate pressure points. The reinforced heel cup prevents power robbing heel lift and the ventilated synthetic upper delivers cool comfort. Replaceable non-slip rubber heel pad. The MEGA fit also gives those who have a slightly wider foot to comfortably wear Sidi cycling shoes. 4mm wider across the ball of the foot with more volume, a high instep and a wider heel cup. Mega lasts are EE - EEE width.
