The MFC 1.0 is a progressive tour style geometry frame boasting the some of the best strength to comfort aspects that you can find. The MFC 1.0 frame is a perfect mixture of 24 Ton HM Carbon(24 tons of tensile strength) and Flaxpreg 2.0 (Flaxpreg on seatstay and fork) giving the frame and fork agile and capable handling while remaining eternally smooth. Internal cabling routing and electronic shift compatible, BB86 bottom bracket, MFC reversed aero tapered fork.

MFC Tour Geometry

The MFC Tour geometry is inspired by the cobblestone roads of the Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders. Designed with square reinforced tubing to give more torsional and lateral stiffness, a taller cut headtube for a more upright and stable ride and a MFC carbon fiber/Flaxpreg fork with a tapered headtube for smooth and responsive steering.

HM Carbon and Flaxpreg Technology

Museeuw has spared no expense in the development of their carbon frames and forks. Seeking to answer the age old question, well as far as bicycles go, of strength and performance while delivering supreme comfort they mated High Modulus carbon and Flax fibers together to offer the best features of both materials. The fibers of the flax being individually different gives it the advantage in soaking up vibrations through the frame compared to normal carbon. While changing the tensile strength of the carbon, dependent upon the model, and reinforcing it with Flaxpreg in critical areas, the ride characteristics and vibration absorption can be independently tuned.

Museeuw History

Museeuw bicycles is the brainchild of Johan Museeuw, who created it when he retired from professional road racing in 2004. Johan, known as the Lion of Flanders, was one of the most successful Belgian cyclists of his his time. Winning both of the 96' World Championships and the Cobbled Classics, the Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders three times each, Johan knows a little something about riding rough roads. He took that passion and teamed up with IPA Composite's of Belgium and Billato Linea Telai, a frame builder in Italy to created the perfect match of composites and quality control in the build of each frame and fork. The composites are made in Belgium by IPA and sent to Billato in Italy where they are molded and assembled using their Flax Carbon Wrapping System technique.
