Structurally, a full carbon frame, however utilizes alloy interfaces in critical areas, such as in the headtube bearing journals and bottom bracket.

BIO-CENTRIC EBB

Once the Bio-Centric EBB is installed into a 68 by 55mm bottom bracket, the result essentially becomes a 73mm bottom bracket width. The eccentric bottom bracket cups slide into an enlarged bottom bracket shell and are secured by 360 degrees of flush metal-on-metal friction. The cups are then tightened onto the frame by a hex bolt on the non-drive side cup that threads into the drive-side cup. The offset center allows you to rotate the cups and the location of the bottom bracket and in-turn chain tension, fine-tuning the bottom bracket.

CYA TECHNOLOGY

The Niner crew has created a solution to the excessive standards in bottom brackets by developing the CYA insert adapter technology. This enables you to run multiple standard bottom brackets by using an adapter pressed into the frame’s BB shell. Niner’s ingenuity solution allows the possibilities to run a variety of crank and bottom bracket combinations. No need to conform to just one!

Keep in mind, the different CYA inserts adapters are available for Press Fit 30, BB30, BB92, standard English threaded bottom brackets. CYA inserts do not work with all Niner models. Compatible models are: Air 9 Carbon CYA.

TAPERED HEADTUBE

With change comes improvement, tapering the headtube increases steering precision and torsional stiffness in the front of the bike. This not only improves the handling, but also builds the confidence of a rider shredding corners, descending into a finish line or bombing boulders in the woods.
