Campagnolo 2016 Chorus 11 EPS Groupset

It seemed only a matter of time before Campagnolo tickled down it's renowned EPS technology to it's Chorus level groupsets. And that glorious time has arrived- a full electronic and redesigned groupset with the fashion and functionality of it's older brothers, Record and Super Record.

The EPS (Electronic Power Shift) system allows for nearly flawless shifting. According to Campagnolo the EPS can seamlessly up shift and down shift all 11 gears on the cassette while the mechanical shifting only allowed for 5 down-shifting and 3 up-shifting. With electronic shifting the maintenance on the bicycle is reduced. And the biggest question may be, what happens if it gets wet? The EPS system is made with water proof electronics and Campagnolo claims the bicycle will still function even under 1 meter of water. How much is a nearly perfect shifting experience worth to you?

There's still carbon where it counts throughout this groupset, although for obvious price savings there have been replacements with aluminum at key points. Nowhere is the elegance and simplicity of the Campy brand compromised though on this excellent price-point electronic groupset.
