Starting in James Jannard's garage in 1975, Oakley first began with the Oakley Grip for motocross and quickly expanded into gloves, pads, goggles, and more for BMX and Motocross. Today, Oakley is based in Lake Forest, California as a subsidiary of the Luxottica group designing, developing, and manufacturing sports performance equipment and lifestyle pieces including sunglasses, apparel, cycling helmets, and much more.
